Being a VCP, definitely gives you some advantages over those who don't have but the most important part is hand's on experience and scope of implementations' you've deployed and architected.  There are many roles you can specialize such as ESX Implement Engineer, VMware Architect, P2V Engineer, Solutions Architect, DR Specialist, Virtual Desktop Architects etc...and these tend to be specialize.  If you can master them all than you're ready to go anywhere globally and get the jobs instantly.  If working for a single company, I would at master about ESX, SRM, View, Lab Manager if possible in case your company want to deploy them.

For consultant perspective, you must have VCP and good have good understanding how VMware products works and effectively architected/implemented them.  In order to become VMware PSO, its a matter of opportunities and expertise level and certification.  Its not hard to get on board but 2 years of basis knowledge isn't enough but could be part of them entry level P2V engineers but to be a Sr. VMware Consultant that takes time and experiences with other fields networking, storage, database, security, systems and overall understand how things operate so you can architect an effective solutions.  You can search for jobs www.vmware.com and filter by your regions its worldwide.  Good luck!

The big question is where are you located, even though the world economy isn't strong but for VMware jobs there are about 1,200+ jobs on dice.com anytime you search "VMware" keyword which means you have a lot of chances and shot to work for VMware VAC partners and most likely get yourself a P2V Implementation project which pays pretty decent $40-50/hour+ to start with depends how you negotiate and proof yourselve.  I would start with VMware VAC to get more hands on experience and after you feel comfortable with everything and with 4+ years experience I would contact VMware PSO for job opportunities, but right now its best to keep learning and put hands on as much as possible via VAC partners.

I tried vmpeople.net too and thats fantastic website but again there am getting lots of oppurtunites for experienced guys with more tha 5 years of exp in vmware.

The question is how shd one having just 2 years of exp in Vmware and VCP certified looks for job oppurtunities..i knw at this level will get entry eleval engg..but ready to do that also @ Vmware.

I know VMware has engineer support center in India and all you do is answer technical phone call all days long and that's pretty good if you're looking to be problem solver which is great to know.  I would contact VMware India and apply from there, once you've worked for them 1-2 years you can move out to be bigger role as consulting and many VATC in America or elsewhere will sponsor H1B visa which I know alot of them do if you're pretty solid with VMware, EMC, NetApp, knowlege.  I would suggest work form any VAC in India or VMware if you can get in and gain more experience before moving anywhere else.  Australia is pretty good for VMware jobs and pays check them out as well.  Good luck but the best way to proof is learn a lot more then just VMware and more IT certifications is the key to consulting world.
