Ok, I've 'figured' it out.
Basically by simply updating the registry RDP port on the virtual desktop (XP in my case) fixes this and you don't need to do anything else.
The agent on the virtual desktop must communicate with the Broker and detect the RDP port change
I assumed that you'd need to tell the broker / client to use the new RDP port but you don't
(Don't forget to update firewall to allow the new port)
Simple....duh.
