I'm trying to use Converter to convert and configure a virtual machine, but I get the message "Unable to proceed because the source is suspended." The virtual machine is currently used with VMware Player and has been shut down (powered off). It is not suspended. All suspend files and other unnecessary files have been removed from the virtual machine directory.
Converter version: VMware vCenter Converter Standalone Client (4.0.1 build 161434)
Any suggestions? Thanks!
Try to delete temporary files in folder with VM. Also restart before next converter probe (sometimes files are still locked from apps).

I removed two lines from the virtual machine config file (.vmx):
checkpoint.vmState = "dgrand-vm.vmss"
extendedConfigFile = "dgrand-vm.vmxf"
I am able to move forward now! Thanks!
