jumbo frames support on VI3 3.5 / iSCSI hardware initiator?

Hi There,

An apology if this has already been posted. If so please point me to the thread but I just wanted to confirm with you guys the jumbo frames support on VI3 3.5.

As far as I know Jumbo frames are not supported for software iSCSI but it is SUPPORTED for hardware iSCSI initiators but please correct me if I am wrong here. Now what hardware initiator would you recommend for jumbo frames?

True (for ESX 3.5). Also are supported for VM traffic.

Now what hardware initiator would you recommend for jumbo frames?

Have a look at HCL (I remember only a Qlogic card).

Or use ESX 4.

Thanks for your prompt replay. Could you confirm to me if 10 gigabit Ethernet and jumbo frame are supported by the VMware software initiator or is it only supported in ESX 4.0?

In ESX 3.5, 10 gigabit Ethernet and jumbo frame are NOT supported on storage traffic (for example software initiator).

In ESX 4 are supported.
