vmware-umds + vmware-updateDownloadCli.exe

Hi,

Again i have problems with importing patches into VUM.

I configure and download only esx patches with umds, then i export them and copy them over to our vCenter server.

When i import the patches with vmware-updateDownloadCli.exe -p <path> -f esx -U <user>

The VUM server want's to connect to shavlik? or sometimes to vmware? to get the metadata. There is no internet connection etc.

Doe anyone have an idea what is wrong??

What VUM version do you have? Did you check VUM->Configuration->Patch Download Settings ?

I have the lastest version.

I didn check VUM, patch download settings. Will do taht first thing tomorrow morning.

sorry, I've pointed out the latest version which is part from VI4

Currently you can try to disable the ports that VUM is using to access the patch depot - VUM -> Port Settings
