Virtual Center error after an upgrade

Hi there,

After an upgrade from VC 2.0 toVirtual Center 2.5, I still have some error messages:

"an error occured during configuration of the HA agent on the host"

and "Failed to install VirtualCenter Agen Service".

I have 4 clusters and is just on one cluster that I have these messages.

In this cluster, In one Host, I made the copy of the "vpx-upgrade-esx-6-linux-32042" to the tmp and I setup this file.

But I still have the same message error.

Can somebody recomand me something?

Cheers

Sure that DNS name resolution is fine.

Verify that all the hostname match DNS names.

Have you tried also to reinstall the HA agent using VIC?

The DNS is fine for all the Host Servers.

For the HA, if I don't have all the Host connected, I don't really think that I will be able to setup the HA.

Thanks

In this case is a VC Agent (vpxa) issue.

Try to reconnect the host.

At end, What I did, is to remove the old agen with this command: rpm -e VMware-vpxa-2.0.x.xxxxx

and then reinstall the agen manuelly with this command sh vpx-upgrade-esx-6-linux-32042.

Once the Host was connected, we should reconfire the HA by right click on the Host.

I don't have this issue any more this message error.
