upgrade to 2.0.4

ok so I've downloaded and installed the new version _ it shows as such in the 'about' box. I still get the following message.

This virtual machine is out of date.

Upgrade this virtual machine to improve 3D performance and gain other features. To upgrade, power off this virtual machine and then click "Virtual Machine - Upgrade Virtual Machine".

Followed these instructions and then still the get the first message.

Start VMware Fusion

To start VMware Fusion

In the Applications folder, double-click VMware Fusion.

The Virtual Machine Library window appears. From this window, you can

create a virtual machine, browse for an existing virtual machine to open,

open a virtual machine you have used recently, import a virtual machine

created in another virtualization product, or go to the VMware Virtual

Appliance Marketplace.

Save VMware Fusion in your Dock by clicking and holding the icon, and

selecting Keep in Dock.

For instructions on configuring, running, and closing VMware Fusion, see the

VMware Fusion Help.

So what gives?

Upgrading to Fusion 2.x from 1.x you will get that message for each virtual machine created in 1.x because Fusion 2.x introduces new virtual hardware so either do as the message says or check the check box to not show the message again.

In addition for windows VMs you might want to take a backup or your VM first in order to not get bitten with windows activation logic (doesn't happen all the time, but it is very annoying if you have to re-activate your windows because of upgrading your virtual machine hardware)
