SNMP Gets

I have read that ESXi can be configured to handle SNMP get requests if esxi is used in conjunction with other licensed vmware products. Can someone tell me if that is true and what those products are, please? Assuming it's true and that I am licensed, how do I enable get operations on the esxi 3.5 snmp agent?

From Page 9:

"ESXi ships with an SNMP management agent different from

the one that runs in the service console of ESX 3. Currently, the

ESXi SNMP agent supports only SNMP traps, not gets. SNMP

write operations are not supported by ESXi. This agent is off by

default. To use this agent, you must enable the SNMP service,

specify at least one community, and configure a trap destina-

tion using the remote command line command vicfg-

snmp."
