Customizing VM : Disk Management Service Not Available

When provisioning VM's with VMWare view composer persistent desktops and user settings redirected to an other virtual disk, frequently i get the following error message and the provisioning fails and the vm is destroyed:

3/10/09 4:46:46 PM CET: Desktop Composer DiskFault: Disk Management Service is not available

What could be causing this to happen frequently (out of every 100 vm about 15 vm fail with this error)

Hi,

There was a speed/duplex mismatch between switch and ESX host which hosted the specific vm's failing, which caused occasional communication problems, after fixing this the problem described disappeared.
