Monitoring ESXI with HP SIM and SNMP

Hello,

I am setting up my ESXI host and HP SIM server to recice traps from the host, i have set the root username & password into the global protocal settings, the host appears in SIM with all the corrcet details..

I have configured SNMP on the ESX host as below, but when i send a test trap nothing is recievied from the host.. What am i missing...

C:\PROGRA_{1\VMware\VMWARE}1\bin>vicfg-snmp.pl --server hostname -s

Enter username: root

Enter password:

Current SNMP agent settings:

Enabled : 1

UDP port : 161

Communities :

Notification targets :

Is your ESXi host able to resolve your target hostname?
