Silly question, but how does one use the new smart card feature in Player 2.5? It is listed as experimental in the release notes, and I cannot find any documentation on how, exactly, to use it.
I have a Windows XP SP3 host with an SCRx31 driver and USB card reader installed. The host detects the card reader when plugged in, and it is listed in the device manager. But, there is no mention of the device in my Windows XP SP3 guest OS. I plug/unplug the reader when the guest OS is running, have it plugged in when it starts (from cold boot); all to no avail. I have ActivClient card reader software installed in the Windows guest OS, and it says no reader is detected.
How do I enable the reader in the guest OS? Is there a line that must be put in the VM's vmx file?
