VirtualCenter running on Microsoft Windows Server 2008

Hi,

I will start a disscusion about MS Windows Server 2008...

The most of our Servers based on Windows OS have reached MS WS08...

Is VC 2.5 working on Server 2008?

In future, will vCenter 4.0 run on it?

Is it experimental working on WS08?

best regards,

According to the latest compatibility charts WinServ 2008 is not listed on there yet, but I'm pretty sure its in the experimental stages. By the time ESX4 comes out the latest VirtualCenter server should be able to run on 2008 I would assume.

That is a pretty fast conversion you've made to 2008, I don't think we'll be moving that way for another couple of years.

I tried installing VIM 2.5 just last friday on a freshly installed Windows Server 2008, and it failed.

The client installed fine, but when it tried to continue on the next step it said I needed 2003 or something else, but the OS I was running isn't supported.

Same story over here. Our new DC will completely run under Windows Server 2008.

I've tried to install VirualCenter under Windows 2008. No go.
