No copy and paste after upgrading to 2.0.1

Copy & Paste between Widnows XP (32-bit, all the patches) and OS X stopped working after upgrading to 2.0.1

I rebooted both OSX and rebooted the virtual machine (instead of suspending it) and I still cannot copy/paste. All other functions seem to work as expected.

Have you upgraded the VMware Tools inside the guest?

It could be the tools from 2.0 not "jiving" with the 2.0.1 build.

Yes, I did. The VMWare tool icon notified about the upgrade after restarting the VM instance and then rebooted the guest OS.

Hi!

The same problem here, cant Copy and Paste between OSX and VM ( but I also had the problem after upgrading to 2.0 )

PLUS: I cant access Unity mode after the 2.0 upgrade.

My Virtual Machine is Vista Premium, if that has anyting to do with it?

Same thing here, I can't copy and paste or drag and drop between guest XP sp3 and Mac OSx after upgrading to 2.0.1.

Downgrading to the VMWare Tools from 2.0.0 seems to fix this issue temporarily:

It's not a full resolution, but it's an interim fix that works.

Yes, this seems to be the problem. Neither copy & paste nor Unity work anymore, after upgrading VMWare tools.

I'm having issues however downgrading. After removing VMWare tools, I had to revalidate my MS Windows license, and after installing the old version, some errors and few reboots later, it seems I ended up with the 2.0.1 release again. Should I replace the iso image on the /Library ? I got the old version using Time Machine and mounting it as a CD.

I know when I installed VMware Tools 2.0.0. in Fusion 2.0.1., next time I booted my Windows machine it tried to update my Tools to version 2.0.1.

So, all I did was press cancel on the Tools installation. I haven't rebooted yet though, to see if the tools will try to re-install themselves again.
