HP Procurve works with NLB in VMware 3.5???

Does anyone have any issue with NLB in VMware 3.5 using HP Procurve switch. We was told by HP its not supported, but VMware 3.5 NLB multicast should works fine without any problems. We're having issue with NLB working. Anyone has same issues?

we have implemented this for a customer, 3.5 u1 on procurve 4200's, all working fine, NLB set up as a seperate port group , multicast mode, with anti affinity rules to keep vms seperate.

Thanks for the details but our core HP Procurve switch is 8212 series and HP told us that they don't support multicast mode? Wondering if we can give it a try even though having different Procurve series. Any thoughts would be appreciated. In the meantime, I'll test it to see how it works. Thanks again.

Hello,

I had a recent experience in setting up multicast NLB with two Windows Server 2008 R2 virtual machines running on VMware ESX 3.5 and the central switch was HP Procurve 5300. The multicast NLB worked across subnets altough static ARPs are not supported on that switch.
