VMware policy is to not comment on unannounced features/releases/timelines, so I can't say.
Installed Fusion 2 - fantastic!! Many (if not all) of the annoying network issues I had with 1.x are gone.. and support for multiple monitors!
Ok but still no openGL ?
is that in the pipeline... being actively worked on?
Well, I would like to see it in my lifetime!
Seriously, we know that OpenGL for Windows guests is something that would of great help to a number of our users and we are seriously considering it as we plan future products.
However, as Eric says, we can't comment on specifics about features and timelines due to corporate policy.
When we have more information we can share about future products, we will let everyone in the forums know.
ok I understand ... at least you know it's something many folks want, so I will remain optimistic
vmware and fusion have to be one of my all time favorite pieces of software ... fusion in particular has allowed me to reduce my carbon footprint by throwing out 5 dell machines and replacing them with a very beefy mac pro 8 core... I just love it... and my home office isn't nearly so noisy and hot anymore
keep up the good work.
I really wonder that the VMware stuff doesn't know a solution for this problem, I just found a solution in 5 minutes of Googling
Download and use a tool named "GLDirect". With it you can use most OpenGL stuff.
it got me past open gl initialization ... but after that it didn't seem to draw anything correctly. (I'm trying to run my copy of Starry Night Pro)
Also - the product appears to have been discontinued...
Yes discontinued and some openGL programs don't work. But your only bet until VMware does code openGL support. Competition got it since a long time already for MAC OS...
