The links go to a web based outlook.
Thanks Lance for informing me, I fixed them. For what it's worth, the URLs in the text work should have worked all along, it's just that the underlying link in them was wrong, from Firefox being "smart" as I copy-and-pasted the email into this forum.
Can someone please fix all the dead links here ?

Yes - the first link goes to a 404 page and the second link is for new user registration. Still can't find the Converter bits....

I do not understand why you 2 are seeing issues with the links. They both work for me, both from inside of our corporate network and outside. IT did say there might be some disturbance today due to an upgrade, but you two posted 3 hours apart so it seems unlikely that any such disturbance would persist for so long.
Unfortunately those are the only 2 links I have. I'll contact the IT guys and see if they know why you might be getting 404 pages.
Try this ->
http://www.vmware.com/publicbeta/conv4-beta
It is case sensitive.....
Better yet ->
http://communities.vmware.com/community/beta/converter

Just to update some more... My primary OS is Ubuntu Linux, from there, the url is case sensitive. From winders, it adjusts the case for you. Go figure.

Can someone please fix all the dead links here ?
The links all worked for me here (on Nov. 13th, 11 AM EST), WinXP SP3 host, IE7. Like I always say - if you want something to work, use Windows.
Thanks for pointing this out Dave. I've corrected the URLs to have a lower-case "conv4-beta" suffix.
I just looked at the welcome email> it should be corrected as well.

Neither of the links is working as of today (11/18/08 @ 900am CST) the first
http://www.vmware.com/publicbeta/conv4-beta
gives a 404 page not found error
and the second
http://communities.vmware.com/community/vmtn/mgmt/converter
gives
Unauthorized
You do not have the permissions to perform this action or access this page.
For further assistance, please contact a VMware Communities moderator.
even though I'm signed in to my vmStore account at the time.
Any suggestions on how to go about getting the beta bits???
Same here, it doesnt work...whats up with that?
Can you please try again. Both the links seem to be working now.
Deepak.
First link does not work (same 404 that others are getting).

Same here. The beta community link gives me an authorization error, as well.
If you get a not authorized message go to the second link http://www.vmware.com/publicbetanew/conv4-beta and register

Im already registered .... Dont you think we thought of that already?????
I'm having the same problem as well - the first link does not work in IE or Firefox, case-sensitive or all lower case. 404 Page Not Found.
Since I am already registered, the second link for "New Registration" errors out saying that I am already registered.
I am getting the 404 error too. From both IE and Firefox.
I would really like to try this out.
