I recently renamed a datastore and am in the process of clearing the references to the old name out of the VMs and templates. Unfortunately, one VM is having serious problems, to the extent that I can't even remove it from the inventory. When I try to perform any operation (remove from inventory, migrate, edit settings, whatever), I get a popup saying "A general system error occurred: Invalid fault." The problem seems to have started in earnest when I tried to do a Storage VMotion of the VM to a different datastore, and the SVMotion failed because the VM has snapshots. I tried to remove the snapshots, and I started getting the general system error.
Does anyone have any ideas about how to resolve this problem?
