VMware ESXi

Can we run VMware ESXi in virtual machine under that can we create virtual machine which i need to test for few application.

Consultant answer - it Depends :smileygrin:

there are many threads on gettign ESX and ESXi to work under Workstation, just do a search.

but the basic crux is that, if you can get it to work, unless your Host machine is very powerfull and dedicated to the job the overhead that virtualisation over virtualistion puts on the end machine is such that for anything other than demo, it is next to useless. ie real work is a no-no.

I have one more clarification /issue...

I have Sunfire x2200 box with SATA harddisk(250GB *2) and 2GB RAM, I have download ESXi Installer U2 ISO image and I copied into CD, when I boot with the CD it is not booting.

Can any one guide me to fix this issue..
