VMWare 6.5 GA came out a few days ago do I downloaded it and installed it. Then I crossed my fingers, dotted my eyes and hoped that it would rectify the problems. Alas the problem persists. They look a little different though. Here is what I have: I am running a fully up-to-date Kubuntu Hardy as the host with Windows XP/SP3 fully updated guest. I have Active Sync 4.5.0 installed on the guest. If I hover over it it correctly reports that it found a Dell Axim X51v. In Windows I see a New Device Is Found message and it attempts to install the device. It also recognizes the device as a Dell Axim X51v. After a short period it says that it had trouble installing. When I look at the device manager I see a new Network Adapater: Windows Mobile Device and it shows that it has problems. A number of people have suggested that the Advanced Networking be turned off. On my Mobile 5 device, I am not seeing that as an option. So, here I am again, asking if anybody is having any luck getting this to work and if there is a workaround or an official means of correcting this problem.
