Error analyzing machines with Capacity Planner

When I start a Analisys of any machina in our domain, I always get "Uknown error encountered" and I can see in the capacity planner log

-

> MapErrCode2Key: Unknown error code -1073738824 (see the attach file)

Do you know what can be the problem?

Capacity planner get the machine info ... but dont leave to me convert it to Virtual machine ... and get performance data

I have check that the machines DONT HAVE windows firewall enable,

MACHINE1 is a windows 2000 sp4, and MACHINE2 is a windows XP sp3

with locale SPAIN es_ES, and the virtual center server has en_US

Any Idea? Thanks a lot

Hi,

I am having the same problem, eventhough I tried all the other hints that are referred to in the forum.

Did you figure out how to get it to work?

from the collector to you start perfmon and then connect to a remote machine \\machinename\ and then see the counters ? if not its a permission issue

Has anyone found a resolution for not being able to connect to perfmon on a remote system for collecting data with Cap Planner..?

getting the following error on mutiple machines that indicate "Area Failed" - Perf.Mon. when running a connection test.

Unknown error (The specified object is not found on the system.)

Thanks.
