I am trying to find the best way to move the VM swap files from local to remote location (esx3.5 & 3.0). Pls help?
On a per-VM basis: Edit Settings -> Options -> Swapfile location. You can set it to store in the host's swapfile datastore.
To configure the host's swapfile datastore, go to Configuration -> Virtual Machine Swapfile Location.

Actually I am trying to locate the swap file of the virtual machines on a separate LUN dedicated just for the swap files. So the VMs will reside on the SAN LUN and the swap files will be located on the same SAN but different LUN.
Pls advice.
