    Unable to toggle full screen mode

      Hi,

       

       

      I'm running VMWare Server Console 1.06 on openSUSE 10.3, on an AMD64 host, hosting Windows XP SP3 32bit.

       

       

      I originally had some trouble getting into full screen mode at all, but followed various suggestions obtained via google and can now get to full screen mode either via the toolbar button, via Ctrl-Alt-Enter or via Ctrl-Alt-F8.  The only problem I now have is that I can't get back to the console.  Hitting Ctrl-Alt-Enter again does nothing, whilst hitting Ctrl-Alt-F8 again simply blacks out the entire screen, leaving no way out but to do a hard re-set to get back control (i.e. holding in the ON/OFF button.  Things like Alt-Ctrl-Del have no effect).

       

       

      This is not hugely important, since Quick Switch works just fine (F11 doesn't toggle, but I can get to the toolbar so it doesn't matter), but I'm curious as to whether this is a known problem and if there is a resolution.

          Sorry to reply to my own post, but I thought it might be useful to post the solution I found in case anyone else has the same problem.

           

           

          Ctrl-Alt does the job.  I have to use the toolbar button to get a full screen display.  Once in full screen mode, Ctrl-Alt gets me back to normal mode.

           

           

          Hope this might help someone else in the future.
