Hi all,
I am using vmbk.pl to backup my virtual machines to a NAS drive.
The output of the backup are files consisting of .vmdk, .vmx, .nvram and .vmxf extensions, along with a catalog file and a bunch of logs.
How do I go about restoring these files to a virtualised state on my ESX server?
I have read that vcbRestore is used to restore the files (using the catalog file), however, vcbRestore is non-existant on my ESX server (I have tried executing it via ssh as an administrator).
I have not yet installed Virtual Centre 2.5 due to a lack of hardware - is it possible to install Virtual Centre on a virtual machine residing on the host ESX server?
Many thanks,
Carlo
