I have a XP VM which behaves as expected when it comes to going into standby after the configuraed amount of time (i.e. XP goes into standby, VM suspends). This machine is also part of my domain. I Then clone this to a template and deploy another machine from this using a customization script (nothing fancy in this script prod key, default network settings added to the domain etc).
This all completes ok and the machine powers on, syspreps and I can then log into it. However it will not go into standby. The screen saver comes on so it knows when its idle but it never goes into standby. I have tested it by manually telling it to go into standby and this works fine, I have also checked the settings and it still has the corect power settings.
Any ideas?
