Unable to create Windows XP Professional SP3 Virtual Machine

I have been attempting to create a Windows XP SP3 Virtual machine on my HP nx8220 Vista Business laptop and it keeps locking up after it 'formats' the drive but before it starts copying files. I have tried off an ISO of XP SP3 and of the CD - please help?

Do you use an OEM-CD ?

By the way - you really should not assign 2 Gb of RAM to a guest when your host only has 2 Gb RAM !!!
