Wanted to see if anyone has any tools or tricks to Document their ESX host. The reason I am asking we are reinstalling 3.5 on five host that need to be documented. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I create an install document with screen shots taken from the install for my customers. After the install is competed, Veeam Reporter could help. I do not know of a pre-made install document.

I agree with what Texiwill said. What I did (since I recently had to create documentation for everything VMware) is screenshot the install process, along with content of important files that changes were made to. A lot of it can just be free handed but if you want it to do it for you, might want to check out the Veeam software.
