1. Re: Missing 50GB after deleting VM?
Joel Sisko Jun 8, 2008 8:30 PM (in response to Joel Sisko)Some information that may be helpful to my question: The host install was minimal with webmin and VMWare only. I have 5 VM on the server
VM1---200GB
VM 2--100GB
VM3--50GB
VM4--50GB
VM5--20GB
Now either I am missing some space and or the host diskusage also increases with each VM I add.

Peter_vm Jun 8, 2008 8:49 PM (in response to Joel Sisko)1 person found this helpfulWhere in filesystem your virtual machine files are created?
Did you inspect those folders after deleting virtual machines?

3. Re: Missing 50GB after deleting VM?
Joel Sisko Jun 9, 2008 8:09 AM (in response to Peter_vm)Virtual machines are in the default location. Yes I checked that folder and even listed all files greater than 40GB, nothing found. My Linux skills are minimal and I am wondering is there some type of temp folder that I not seeing in a standard search?

5. Re: Missing 50GB after deleting VM?
Joel Sisko Jun 9, 2008 8:45 AM (in response to Peter_vm)Yes I restarted; is there some type of command that you know of that forces VMServer to "double" check the avalaible disk space?

6. Re: Missing 50GB after deleting VM?
Joel Sisko Jun 9, 2008 9:00 AM (in response to Joel Sisko)doh! So I started a fresh install and confirmed that 64Bit version of CentOS takes up alot more space than its 32bit brother. So based on that I found my so called missing 50GB, which was not missing at all jsut the base install was much larger than I expected.
