I just got my results back - I passed. Now on to the design exam....
I guess that means there are two of us out there.
I wonder what my official results are; how was it broken down? I just recieved an email from vmware (who were probably just sick of me) saying "you passed!"
I got an email with two PDFs attached. One was a score report and the other was a Design Exam blueprint. The score report didn't break anything down, just had a score. This is what the email said:
Thank you for your interest in the VMware Certified Design Expert program. I am pleased to inform you that you have PASSED the Enterprise Administration Exam. Your score report is attached. Congratulations!!
Your next step will be to take and pass the Design Exam. We will be emailing you the registration details by September 15th. I have included the Design Exam Blueprint for you to review. If you have any questions or comments regarding the blueprint, please let us know.
Once again congratulations on this achievement!
Looks like I'm bugging Tina!
I hope she doesn't start to hate me
Just be nice. I'm sure there are a lot of people bugging her to death...
She's pretty awesome;
right as I was about to hit send I got my two pdfs
I passed too! Just got the email.
I also just received my score report stating that I passed.
Now the question remains;
does this enhance our existing VCP certification or warrant a secondary tier like VCEA for example? Or is this strictly going to be a first step to the VCDX?
I was about to come here dejected because I still had not received word today, and I was sure it was because no one wants to send e-mail on bad news. But buried in the midst of others' reports was my notice that I passed. I am curious what or how the points were determined. 300 as a passing score normally would be really low. I did better than that, but is that score out of 1000 or what?
I believe a passing score was 75%; which would mean 300/400 would pass you.
So your percentage is your score/400.
I am also wondering how this exam was scored. I am not sure that 400 was the max due to the fact that I scored higher than 400 on the exam.
hrmm interesting; how far over 400 did you score? I only ask because if it were 300 out of 450 to pass then a passing score would be 66%; which would be lower than what the VCP would require. If 425 is 100% then it might line up.
Sorry for butting in, but the score on the VCP is not a percentage.
It's an actual score.
You need to get a score of 70 or greater to pass.
Open to correction on this, but I believe questions are weighted.
Lets say that an easy question is worth 1 point, a reasonable questions is worth 2 points and a difficult question is worth 3 points.
You need to answer enough questions correctly to get 70 points, in order to pass.
That's my interpretation anyway.
P.S. Congratulations to everyone for having passed.
I also just received my results last week with a pass - time for the design exam.
Scoring seems weird?
