Buffer I/O Error

I have an Ubuntu spam server which has been running for about 2 years. Recently I've had issues with error messages popping up and I haven't found anyone with a similar problem Smiley Sad

After a reboot, the machine will work fine for about 10-15 minutes and then on the console I recieve Buffer I/O errors.

http:// 42949582.190000 Remounting filesystem read-only|

http:// 42949582.520000 Buffer I/O error on device sda1, logical block 1556702

The Buffer I/O errors continue and the logical block numbers change.

I've ran fsck a few times, and tell it to fix when it finds a problem, but I still have the same problem over and over again.

It's gotten to the point where the machine will only process emails for about an hour before it jumps to read-only and can't log anything (since it's read-only).

This is on an ESX box connected to an iSCSI san, inwhich no other machines are having hard disk problems.

Please help!

Disregard the links. There should be brackets around the numbers.
