I have a Windows XP host with a recordable DVD drive and with Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 installed which has Drag-to-disc running. When I start my Vista virtual machine and try to use a non-recordable CD to install something from it, when I try to look at it's contents I get a dialog about formatting it. If I have exited Drag-to-disc before I start the machine, then the I can use the DVD drive and see the contents of the CD. I often forget to exit Drag-to-disc before starting the VM. Is there any way to get the VM to 'redetect' the DVD drive after I exit Drag-to-disc in the host?
