When you configure VMotion, you need to configure a vmkernel port, with VMotion enabled.
It's this port which has the IP address - i.e. each host will need 1 VMotion IP address.
Each server will need it's own unique IP address that is able to communicate with other servers on the VMotion network. See Chapter 14 on the link below for some information and requirements for setting up VMotion.

Ok Thanks. So what you are saying is that if I have 10 ESX Servers I need 10 seperate IP addresses for VMotion to function. ie 10 VMKernel ports with these seperate addresses. I assume that these will all be placed in one VLan and one port group.
