Which system to upgrade

I have been doing a little bit of house cleaning around the office and found a couple sticks of RAM just sitting around in sealed packaging. We only have 2 servers that would take that RAM, our Virtual Center server and the server that runs our backups. Overall we would only be adding an additional 1GB to the servers but my first thought was to increase the RAM on the Virtual Center server. Right now as it stands both servers have 2GB of ram each, anyone have any different thoughts or reasons why I should put it in the Virtual Center or the Backup server?

Hello,

My inital without analysis would be the Backup Server however you really need to do a perfmon for a minimum of 24hrs to really know which system will be the right choice.

Thoughts.....

The SQL component of VC having dedicated RAM could improve responce time if your ESX farm is large.

The Backup could buffer multiple streams of data much more effectively with the increase RAM.
