LSI 53C1030 drivers for WinXP

Guys,

I have read somewhere that, it is good to have LSI drivers for win-XP installation. M$ does not provide those softwares in the XP CD, so we need to download them and make a flp image.

I downloaded the files from this location http://www.lsi.com/storage_home/products_home/standard_product_ics/scsi_ics/lsi53c1030/index.html?re... and selected the OS as Windows XP V 1.26.05

In that, I just selected the XP OS and made a flp image. Now, when I try to install this image, from the floppy to the XP, VM it gets installed but, WinXP Professional setup says it did nto find any hard disk drivers installed in your system.......

Setup cannot continue, To quit press F3,

Any, ideas how can I get this driver to work ?

I thought you use the LSI20320-R drivers? From the Guest OS Installation Guide :

<div class="B_Body"><span class="bold">If
you are using the virtual LSI Logic SCSI adapter, you must download the
driver from the download center at the LSI Logic Web site. Go to<span class="URL">[http://www.lsilogic.com/cm/DownloadSearch.do]
and download for the LSI20320-R SCSI adapter driver for your guest
operating system. For details on installing this driver, see the<span class="Title">VMware ESX Server Administration Guide. The LSI Logic Web site also provides an <span class="Title">Installation Guide for the LSI Logic Fusion-MPT™ Driver: SYMMPI.SYS V1.xx.xx, located (at the time of this <span class="Title">Guest <span class="Title">Operating System Installation Guide’s publication) at <span class="URL">[www.lsilogic.com/files/support/ssp/fusionmpt/WinXP/symmpi_xp_12018.txt|http://www.lsilogic.com/files/support/ssp/fusionmpt/WinXP/symmpi_xp_12018.txt].</div><div class="B_Body"></div><div class="B_Body">installation CD for the operating system.</div><div class="B_Body"></div><div class="B_Body">machine.</div>

The search link doesn't work, so here's the link to the 20320 drivers .

Hi!

I have the same issue. I can install XP on ESX 3.5 becausse Windows is unable to find the hard drives.

I am using the same LSI drivers. Did you solve it? If so, what did u do?

Any help will be welcome!

Best Regards,

Randy

The link provided by asatoran is moved, apparently. After some searching, I did find the correct drivers again. They seem to be moving often, compared to the number of dead and moved links I came across, so I decided to create an FLP image with 64 bit LSI drivers that worked (at least for me) with 64 bit and 32 bit Windows XP. I mocked up a quick an instruction and a download FLP for XP 64 bit, there's also a post for 32-bit, but you could just as easily use Buslogic drivers.

I hope it helps someone.
