Change IP address on ESX 3.5

Hey There,

Im trying to change the IP address of the service console on an ESX 3.5 host. I have found articles online and have sucessfully changed the IP, however I would like the startup screen to also show this IP address. So this is what happens. I change the IP address, then hit cntl+f11 to return to the starting screen. The IP address in that screen will reflect the NEW address for a few minutes, then it will revert back to showing the old management address. The NEW address is always working, and even when the starting screen shows the OLD ip, the new one still works fine and the old is non functional. I want the starting screen to always reflect the NEW ip address. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Adam
