3.5 Upgrade - VFMS3 Question

I'm planning to upgrade to 3.5. As part of the upgrade notes it talks about upgrading the storage for the VMs to VFMS3. I've looked at the storage for my VMs and they are all VFMS3.21

Does this mean it won't have to do this part of the upgrade as it is already at 3?

Thanks

Hi,

for my understanding there are no changes on the filesystem, if you are using ESX3.0.x. I think that's only needed if you upgrade from ESX 2.5.x.

Can anybody confirm this?

Thats correct.

Look at the scenarios at page 33-34 in upgrade guide and follow the steps at your scenario. http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vi3_35/esx_3/r35/vi3_35_25_upgrade_guide.pdf
