VMware Converter 3.0 - other users unable to import to ESX server or VirtualCenter VM

Hello all,

I have been using VMware Converter 3.0 successfully for a few imports. However, when another user attempts to use the converter they are unable to choose "VMware ESX server or VirtualCenter virtual machine" for the Destination. Instead, they can only select "VMware standalone virtual machine".

The converter is being run from a vm on an ESX server. I am the one who initially installed the converter. Does this have anything to do with it? I consulted the VMware Converter 3.0 User's Manual, but did not see anything under the installation instructions.

The Converter license is intalled on a per user basis. If you want other users to be able to remote hot clone to ESX, ask them to add the Converter license while they are logged in.
