Partial XP Install

Windows XP was installing when I received a power hit. When I log back in, XP keeps trying to complte the install,

but gives me an error code that it can't complete the install. Microsoft recommended doing a complete new re install, but I can't figure out how to delete the XP already there.

Has anyone had to uninstall XP and then try again? Error Message number: 375 809 6642

Thank you.

I'd suggest deleting the VM and make a new one.

Well, I had thought abut that, but doesn't make too much sense that I would have delete Fusion to delete XP,

but it may be so..Thank you. Still hoping someone has had success with deleting XP.

Thank you again.

You don't have to uninstall Fusion to delete a virtual machine any more than you have to uninstall iTunes to delete an mp3; in fact doing so won't help since uninstalling Fusion doesn't affect your virtual machines (just as uninstalling iTunes doesn't delete your mp3s).

Simply browse your Virtual Machines folder and delete the VM package. Default location is Home > Virtual Machines. Then just walk thru doing a new XP Install. Easy as pie.

Of course. I am an idiot...Thank you. My virtual machine is deleted...now if my Apple could just read the XP Install disc.

Thanks again.
