Hi, I want to be able to have 3d/ GPU acceleration in VMWare, is this possible? Meaning, I want VMWare to utilize my GPU. THanks

No, VMware will NEVER utilize your GPU, as the host's hardware (other than the CPU and some RAM) is never seen by the guest. You \*can* enable the experimental 3D graphics - refer to the user manual for the settings you need.

There is an option to use Hardware Acceleration which is supposed to allow you to have a better gaming performance.

The issue here is not the Guest OS to use the GPU resources and yes VMWare (Host)

utilize the processing capabilities of GPU to improve performance

of CPUs (Guests).
