I'm moving from Windows to the Mac. I have an iMac 24 with 3gb memory and 750gb disk storage on order. Until I can move completely to the Mac environment, I'll need to run my old Windows programs. I have a new OEM installation CD for Windows 2000 Pro, complete with the COA and product key.
I've not found any statement that Fusion will run this OS, but haven't seen a statement that I can't use it, either. My question is - can I run Windows 2000 Pro with Fusion? Thanks for any information and/or insights.

can I run Windows
2000 Pro with Fusion?
Yes, along with just about any x86-based OS (before you ask, this doesn't include OS X). http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/system_requirements.html has a list of the officially supported OSes.
OEM versions might require a bit of tweaking, see

You haven't looked at the System Requirements page for VMware Fusion?

OK... other than referring to it as Workstation instead of Professional....
Thanks for your prompt response to my question. I've marked your reply as "helpful". I guess I won't be able to say it's correct or not until I actually receive my Mac and try it out. Thanks again.
