The server with VI3 std was halted by power down. 2 virtual machines was running with Windows 2003 server (domain controler, exchange) during the crash. After Vmware started, the 2 windows don't want to start. After a windows repair, blue screen and problem registry. No backups ==> crises. Is there a utility to "repair" the files that contain virtuals Windows servers ?
If you don't have a backup of the VMs of any sort and you can't fix the VMs using the usual Windows repair methods, then there's nothing VMware provides that can help you.
I take it the disks of the VMs weren't snapshotted, at all?
Repairing a VMware server is the same as a physical server -> just do all the MS stuff to repair your server. After a powerdown your disk are corrupted and should be repaired with the standard MS server recovery procedures.
