ESX 3.0.2 VM Network limit of 27 guest machines? 28th guest = unplugged
I am running ESX 3.0.2
8 GIGS of Ram
40 WIN2k PRO Desktop systems running a custom app for testing
It does not matter which guest machine i power on, but when i power on the 28th guest pc the network cable shows as being unplugged on the guest and I am unable to use the nic.
Is there a hard limit in the ESX software that only allows for 27 simultaneous Network devices on a VM Network?
(Remember when I power on the 28th machine it shows up as unplugged. I was very confused by this. An unplugged virtual device that shows up as being plugged in (in the settings menu). VMware tools shows iP of 0.0.0.0)
Any help or insights I am open.
Thanks
Edit the vSwitch properties and increase the number of ports to something higher.
