vSphere 4.1 Update 1 - LLDP

what happenend to lldp feature in 4.1u1

our vSwitches are configured to listen and advertise...

Before updating to u1 we had lldp infos about all the vmnics on our HP procurve switches.

Please help

Since Procurve supports LLDP for listen and send, and CDP for listen I think that you actually only have been using CDP (sent from the ESX/ESXi hosts).

They will show up in "show lldp info remote".

LLDP is not supported in vSphere 4.x, but as noted will be available in 5.0. See this how to configure.

support for only Distributed switches??? What a joke!!

We need LLDP support on all vswitches!

Yes, unfortunately only on Distributed vSwitches and it is a bit strange since LLDP is not really an "enterprise solution" as some of the other features only available on the Distributed vSwitch.
