landscape:
- ESX 5.5
- Brocade VDX 6740 and VDX 6740T-1G with NOS 5.0.1
At the moment i try to change the vendor on switch side from cisco to brocade. After successfully testing native vlan via ESX vds and brocade switches, the test with private vlan failed.
physical switch configuration for ESX trunk port:
interface TenGigabitEthernet 10/0/2
no fabric isl enable
no fabric trunk enable
switchport
switchport mode trunk
switchport trunk allowed vlan all
switchport trunk tag native-vlan
spanning-tree shutdown
no shutdown
vds configuration:
private vlan 32 33 (community)
access port configuration on physical switch:
interface TenGigabitEthernet 19/0/3
no fabric isl enable
no fabric trunk enable
switchport
switchport mode private-vlan host
switchport private-vlan host-association 32 33
spanning-tree shutdown
no shutdown
private vlan configuration:
interface Vlan 32
private-vlan primary
private-vlan association add 33
interface Vlan 33
private-vlan community
I am expecting the brocade switches should support this landscape setup.
But.
It seems private vlan don't go through the brocade trunk. If i am right maybe someone could fix my configuration issue.
