Good day. I am asking for opinions in regarding how to do a packet capture inside a virtual distributed switch. we have an application that is running on physical hardware and a 1gb network with out very much latency. the decision was made to take this app virtual so that we could take advantage of our 10gb network and newer hardware. To that end, we are experiencing a lot of latency on the new virtual environment and the question is arising as to what is going on in the virtual distributed switch as the network team isnt able to view inside it. We do have vRealize Network insight but not enough licenses at this time nor the switches set up correctly to utilize vRealize Network Insight yet.
any thoughts would be appreciated.
