    hello ,

i had a great setup and everything was moving along smoothly.  so what did i decide to do ?  i decided to make a major change to the network architecture. and now everything is broken.  well not everything but my vms that sit on my emc celerra storage array are no longer accesssible.

we previously had one core stack of switches. in an effort to introduce another layer of reduandancy we decided to split the core stack into two seperate core switches.  after doing so everything except the vms on my celerra  are still humming along. i can't seem to put a finger on what can be the cause.  ive checked physical connectivity and that is not an issue,  also have run pings and that all checks out.  if anyone can provide some insight it would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks in advance.

You must give more information... what is broken?

If ping and vmkping works seems strange that nothing works.

andre thanks i was able to use vmkping to isolate the problem.  there was a misconfiuration with the kernal ports for my iscsi traffic.

    cheers.

Try unregistering the VMs, then re-importing them.

I assume of course that your ESX is seeing the storage properly and able to access it properly?
