guest VM to vxlan vtep traffic

Hi

I have 2 servers, server-1, server-2.

I have 2 VTEP end points vtep-1 on server-1 and vtep-2 on server2.

I have done all the vxlan configuration.  Added the guest VM vnics to the virtualwire portgroup.

The 2 vteps can ping each other.

I have configure mcast and made sure the group is created on the external router and the sources are added.

I am pinging VM1, which is a guest on server-1, to VM2 which is a guest on server-2.

This ping is not working, it says 'Destination host unreachable'

I am stuck here, and wondering what configuration i am missing?

I enabled tcpdump-uw on vmknic1 (vtep interface on server-1) on server-1 and i do "NOT" see the ping packets from guest VM reaching the vmknic1 (vtep interface).

What configuration am i missing.

I am puzzled since the packtes from guest vm are not seen using tcpdump-uw on server-1 (its own server's) vtep interface.

Any urgent help is appreciated.....
