dvswitch question

Can these be used for the management networking, or virtual machine, vmotion, storage only ?

Yes dSwitch can be utilized for all management, storage, virtula motion and vmotion. You can create a single dSwitch for management purpose for all the esx hosts.

Thanks for the replys so far, Ive had a look around to try and find how to perform this change but not been able to find alot. I presume the new dvswitch needs to be added with vmkernel port and then, remove it from vCenter and then change the management IP from the ESXi console and then add back into vCenter using the new IP...

Am I close in regards to what I need to do to acheive this ?

Thanks, help apreciated, still very new to VMware.
