can't add clients to network

Hi folks,

I'm hoping you can help.

I cannot add clients to our network in VMWare; both Server 2003 & XP clients. I could add clients yesterday.

But I had an isue adding VMWare tools.

Following this, I took my server off the domain..and could not re-add it.

VMWae tools is now succesfully installed on the problematic machines.

I can ping out. I can update the clients using Windows Updates.

Once I enter the domain name to be added, it requests the username/password..but then it says:

'The specified network name is no longer available'.

Thank you,

Colin

Hi Colin,

What version of vmware are you using?

Can you explain with more details about your setup?

Hi Prakash,

we connect using VSphere client 4.0.0; and it is using ESC 4.0.0.

The host is a HP Proliant DL380 G5.

The clients are stored on a NAS.

I'm connecting remotely to these appliances in a datacentre.

Thanks

Colin

Prakash,

I've resolved the issue.

We are having an issue with our DC..hence the domain problems.

Thanks for your help
