We are in a mids of a View implementation with ESXi 4.1 Update 1, where Update 2 or ESXi 5.0 is not an option at this point in time. In addition, it turns out we need to utilize the Nexus 1000v versus distributed switches. Can anyone tell me, or point me to the right documentation, which version/dependency, of the 1000V VEM we should be using?

For example, can you use version 4.2(1)SV1(4a), which seem to come out the same time as ESXi 4.1 Update 2 be use on ESXi 4.1 Update 1? Is there any backward compatible? Thank you
