When i change my nic to 1000 Mb, Full Duplex in the vSwitch/Network Adapter settings the NIC goes down.

I should be able to do this if the server has Gigabit NICs right? Or am i just confused? It seems to stay on 100 full but it seems like things have been a bit slow on my virtual server so I have been trying whatever i can think of.
